Leadership Delegations

In order to inspire and lead, we believe it is fundamental for school leaders to engage with schools around the world. Experiencing different teaching practices allows you to think critically about how education systems work, and how they might be improved at your own school.

A Leadership Delegation is an educational travel experience designed for school leaders to see education in action. The delegation includes school visits, meetings with local education professionals, an immersive cultural experience, and attendance at educational roundtables. During the visit, educators will have the opportunity to meet with potential partner schools and establish transformational, meaningful partnerships.

A delegation is one of the key parts of your global journey, providing a rewarding professional development experience. Perfect for developing your role as an International Coordinator or used as a Research and Development opportunity.

For future student trips, you can risk assess the activities, location and experience for your students, ensuring peace of mind and future planning for their visit.

About the itinerary

  • Join a group of 5-10 delegates for 3 to 5 days (on average).
  • School visits – you will be welcomed by colleagues, given a tour of our international partner schools and introduced to staff and students. Here you will learn about the school’s curriculum, observe lessons, discover new teaching approaches and discuss potential partnership opportunities.
  • Roundtable Conference – you’ll attend and participate with education experts during your school visits. Here you will present your school and compare different pedagogical approaches to learning.
  • Cultural immersion – learn about the country’s culture and local area.
  • Risk Assessments – experience and provide key risk assessments for the sightseeing and activities your students will experience in-country.
  • Networking – get to know your peers and build relationships during dinners and events hosted by the Global School Alliance.

This experience of going to see how education is delivered in China has been phenomenal.
