In January 2026, the Global School Alliance welcomed a group of Brazilian educators and education providers to London for a two-day study visit focused on international collaboration, professional learning and school-to-school exchange.
Led by Sophie Scotson, International Account Manager, the visit highlighted the Global School Alliance’s role in connecting international partners with UK schools and creating meaningful opportunities for professional dialogue and shared learning.
Day one began with a visit to Kingsford Community School, where the senior leadership team shared their approach to curriculum design, SEND provision and behaviour management. A guided school tour and lesson observations gave delegates the chance to see these strategies in action and engage in open, practical discussion with staff.
That afternoon, a second group of international delegates from Brazil visited Maryland Primary School to explore its innovative teaching practices. The Headteacher and senior leadership team presented the school’s research-led approach to teaching and learning, followed by a comprehensive tour. Our international visitors met pupils, spoke with teachers across year groups and explored the school environment, gaining a clear insight into whole-school practice.
Participants valued learning directly from UK schools and left with practical ideas, fresh perspectives and renewed enthusiasm to take back to their own settings in Brazil. The visits also strengthened relationships between schools and international education providers, laying strong foundations for future collaboration.

On day two, Sophie attended the BETT London Conference alongside colleague Toni Camilleri and Brazilian delegates Fernanda Oliveira, GSA Consultant, and Nayara Miguel from Efígie Academy. The conference offered valuable insight into global EdTech trends and the evolving role of educators in an increasingly AI-influenced education landscape.
This visit reflects the Global School Alliance’s commitment to creating purposeful international connections that support professional learning, innovation and long-term partnerships in education.
