We are delighted to partner with Climate Ambassadors to deliver this insightful webinar for schools in England on Monday 24th November at 12:30pm, exploring practical steps for tackling climate change through behaviour transformation and youth action.
This webinar is designed to support schools in England as they work towards meeting the Department for Education’s requirement to have a Climate Action Plan in place by December 2025.
Regional Hub Managers, Gemma Bailey and Emma Baines, will explore how fostering sustainable behaviours in school communities is a powerful lever for long-term climate action. From reducing energy use and waste to encouraging active travel and climate-conscious choices, behaviour change in schools not only lowers environmental impact but also empowers young people to become agents of change.
About the session
The session will offer practical strategies for embedding climate-friendly habits into everyday school life and engaging pupils meaningfully in your Climate Action Planning.
You’ll also hear from Climate Ambassador Danielle Parker, who brings 12 years of teaching experience across the UK, South Korea, and Ecuador. With a strong activist background and a talent for building collaborative teams, Danielle will share insights on how to inspire collective action and create a culture of sustainability in education settings.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to enhance existing efforts, this session will provide clear guidance, practical tools and inspiring examples to help you take meaningful climate action.

Educator & Climate Ambassador

Climate Ambassadors is one of the initiatives supporting delivery of the Department for Education’s Climate Change and Sustainability Strategy. By the end of 2025, DfE expect every education setting in England from Early Years to Post-16 to have a Sustainability Lead and Climate Action Plan in place covering Adaptation & Resilience, Biodiversity, Climate Education and Green Careers and Decarbonisation. Climate Ambassadors offers free support from trained volunteers to education settings to develop and deliver this work. We have a network of nine regional hubs led by university and research partners to develop and facilitate local networks and activity and work closely with our DfE-funded ‘sister’ projects, National Education Nature Park and Sustainability Support for Education plus Let’s Go Zero. We are seeing settings develop Climate Action Plans and set priorities at both Trust and individual setting level across England.
