The Global School Alliance has been actively supporting and strengthening links between the UK and China through the Sister School Partnerships programme since 2011. Over the years we have worked closely with local councils and the Education Bureau, offering support and guidance to help schools initiate, develop and maintain successful school partnerships.
That’s why we’re proud to be supporting 20 schools in regions across the UK and are investing over £100,000 to provide life-changing opportunities for students and educators that will foster cultural awareness, global competence and interpersonal skills.
The Sister School Partnerships programme is a long-term relationship between two partner schools, consisting of immersive bilateral student exchanges, leadership delegations and teacher training trips, meaningful joint projects, online collaborations and curriculum enrichment.
As part of the programme, school leaders will join a delegation to visit the partner school and meet the leadership team, sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and conduct a pre-trip check for future student visits. Delegates will attend an education forum to learn about the local culture and education system by meeting with education officials and other school leaders.
