Celebrated on 26 September every year, the European Day of Languages (EDL) is designed to promote the importance of language learning and protecting the linguistic heritage.
Here’s how schools have been celebrating in their classrooms:

As part of European Day of Languages we celebrated the culture of students in the classroom by asking them to write the date on the board in their native language. It created lots of curiosity of dates from previous classes as well as conversation about different cultures! pic.twitter.com/NNbHcHkQ2a

🌎 It’s European Day of Languages today! Miss Leese is leading our assembly. Did you know, the first European Day of Languages was held in 2001? We are thinking about why it is important for us to learn languages. Diversity is one of our curriculum drivers. 🌎 @AletheiaAT pic.twitter.com/2puNJyGhqI
