As the deadline for Turing Scheme applications draws to a close, the Global School Alliance is proud and delighted to announce that a record number of 49 GSA schools have submitted a funding application for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Turing Scheme is a UK government-funded programme aimed at supporting international exchanges and collaboration across education sectors and is particularly targeted at disadvantaged students. This award is a significant boost for our schools and their local communities, who will be able to access this opportunity to broaden their horizons.

Since the scheme launched in 2021, the Global School Alliance has supported 29 schools to access a total of over £1.6 million in funding to facilitate life-changing student exchange visits to countries around the world including China, Mexico, Brazil and Spain.

The Global School Alliance team are experts in setting up long-term, impactful international school partnerships and are thrilled to support Turing applicants with finding, sourcing and establishing new links to meet the schools’ desired learning outcomes.

Every school on our Turing Scheme cohort has access to a wide range of additional resources including a delegation itinerary and pre-trip risk assessment, an online platform with a dedicated space to support joint projects and communications, a pen pal programme, training for staff and International Coordinators, and so many more!
